Information that I would like to share-  In 1986 I moved to Halifax to attend Saint Mary's Univeristy.  I stayed in Halifax until 1995 when I married Sheila. A couple of days after the wedding we moved to Ontario due to a new opportunity with my company.  In 1998 another transfer to Calgary where we stayed for three years and where both of our sons, Braydon and Ashton, were born.  Then in 2001 my company moved us to England and back to Canada in 2003 and here we are.
I do not get back to the Maritimes as much as I like but I certainly enjoy the visits when I do.

Favorite memory of high school-  I was really into ballet during high school so a lot of my happiest memories revolve around that, including the first time I taught stretches to the track-and-field team when I was in Grade 12 to help improve their flexibility. I made the session just hard enough so the guys wouldn't get teased by their friends the next day for having "done ballet." They were pretty sore, so they could say, "Man, ballet is hard"!

Information that I would like to share-  After high school Jane attended a two-year dance program at George Brown College in Toronto, then a term at the Washington School of Ballet. After all of that her knees started to ache, so when she was 20 she went to journalism school at the University of King's College in Halifax, graduating in 1993. She worked at various magazines in Toronto for almost eight years before moving back to Halifax in 2000, where she freelances full-time for local and Toronto publications and companies. She has been practicing yoga for seven years and is preparing to start a teacher training program. In addition to caring for her SPCA dog, Hobo, she volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Favorite memory of high school-  Wow!!! Great question.  So many good ones. Noon hour floor hockey; great times at the many dances; just barely "surviving" Mr. Brown's grade 12 Math (what the heck was that stuff???).  I guess my fondest memory is of our safe-grad party.  Taking the hayride with Mike and the Mechanic's "All I need is a Miracle" blaring in the background.  Brings a smile to my face every time I hear that song.
Friends that I may be looking to reconnect with-  Patricia Ellis.  Got to know each other working on a grade 12 project for Mrs. Voutier's English class, but lost touch after 1987.
Information that I would like to share-  Moved away in 1987 and just kicked around for a few years, working and doing a bit of travelling.  Landed with my current employer on a permanent basis in the fall of 1994, and have been in my current postion for about 10 years.  My life changed for good when I met my wife, Colleen Flemming of Halifax in 1999 and got married in 2001 (my best man was '86 alumni and still very good friend, Mark Muise).  Colleen and I have 3 beautiful girls, Catherine (3 and a half), Maria (2), and Maggie (5 weeks).  Needless to say our lives are pretty hectic right now, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Love Yarmouth, don't get back that often now, but my kids will definitely know as much I can show/ teach them about my hometown and their families roots there.

I am also a member/Secretary of Kinsmen Club of Halifax (Service Club) where I work on fundraising projects for the commmunity and non-profit organizations (CF, MS, Children's Trust, Diabetes Can. and local charities). Favorite memory of high school-  High school was a lot of fun filled with great friends. I fondly remember high school video dances (and all the drama of who's with who). I remember basketball games,yearbook and grad committee. I remember good teachers, OK teachers and teachers who bounced off the walls. I remember being so stressed out before my math final in grade 12 I almost threw up, and passing the hated subject with a 51%. Mostly I remember Yarmouth as a safe little town with good people .. a nice place to grow up. I appreciate it more now returning as an adult.

Favorite memory of high school-  Taking Geography 11 in the Annex.  Winter time was always a fun adventure making your way accross the parking lot from the main building to the annex.  Once, half way across in a blinding snow storm, I lost sight of both the main build and the annex.  thankfully there was someone else as lost as i was and we were able to pick a direction to take.  We were only off by a few feet when we finally found the entrance to the annex.  All that work to spend an hour with Dr. Nause!

Information that I would like to share-  It all started with a trip to watch my father help out at TV Bingo on then Viking Cable 5. I was in grade 11 and had no clue what I was going to do once I graduated in about a year. After that visit, I started volunteering, then came the summer jobs. Finally I was off to Truro for some top- notch education in the field of video production and cable tv. Oddly enough, I am still at it. From summer flunky to regional producer and host/producer of the southern edition of EastLink Magazine. All from the first trip to the studio with my dad. My only regret is he never got to see how his son's life was so influenced by that one simple act. Though every day I have aimed to make him proud. My one wish is that all former and future graduates of Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School keep the fond memories of their years in high school close to their heart.

Information that I would like to share- I am an Archivist with a mission to preserve Nova Scotia's heritage wherever and whenever it is in danger of being lost!  My nick-names are "The Mysterious Vault Keeper" and "The Preservator".  I am an advid volunteer for heritage in NS and I am determined to make history and heritage more relevant to the NS school system.  Went to Mt.A. straight out of school; stayed 2 years.  Left for SMU in 1988; graduated in 1991.  Took Library Technician at NSCC; graduated in 1992.  Did my MA at SMU; graduated in 2002.  Keep planning on a PhD, but whenever I go back to school I seem to get pregnant!?!  Worked for tourism, museums, the Public Archives of Nova Scotia, and the Public Library on Spring Garden Road before landing a position at the SMU Library (1992), eventually cared for their Archives.    Left Hfx for Sydney CB in 2000 to be the Director/Archivist at the University College of Cape Breton (now CBU). Came to Acadia U. in 2005 to be their Deputy University Archivist (see the web site - very exciting for me).  I just love the academic setting and cannot imagine working anywhere else.  Married Robert Bullerwell in 1994.  Have 2 children: Emma (8) and Ethan (4).  Oh yah - 1 cat, 1 hamster, 3 fish.  In my "spare time" I have been trying to get a book published and several articles.  Its not going well at this point.  Hard to believe that it has been over 20 years now!?!?  I don't FEEL any older!

Favorite memory of high school-  My fondest memories from high school are those stemming from basketball. I played with a great group of gals and we always had fun--win or lose, home or away. Admittedly, we sometimes had a bit too much fun on our basketball trips, but came away with great memories. And, yes, Kelley Bishara (1985), I do remember "Thriller"! Thanks for keeping that memory alive!

Information that I would like to share-  After graduating from high school I went to Dalhousie University--I was a "professional student". I completed a BSc (Mathematics) in 1990, BA (Biology) 1992, and DDS (Dentistry) in 1996. In June of 1996, I moved to Toronto to be an Associate in a friend's dental office. Having been "in the right place, at the right time", my first dental clinic was realized by August of 1997. I re-located my clinic into a larger space in late 2000. We are located in Old Cabbagetown in downtown Toronto and, fortunately, live within walking distance. I met my husband, Eric, originally from Pheonix, AZ, in Toronto in 1997. We were married in June 2000 and have been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Sophie Elizabeth Sayat Geis, 4 yrs old, and Olivia Maria Sayat Geis, 4 weeks old. We live in downtown Toronto in a condominium, a stone's throw from the Maple Leaf Gardens. And, while living downtown certainly has its advantages, one has a tendency to fall prey to the fast pace of life here in the city. So, we visit Yarmouth at least twice a year, sometimes three times a year, to decompress and touch base with family and friends. We enjoy small town living and talk often of returning to the East coast to raise our family.

Information that I would like to share-  Well, it may surprise people that I'm still alive and kicking,but I am! I've been married and divorced. No Kids. I worked as a photographer/darkroom tech for the Daily News in HFX for awhile, but the past 12 years I have been a professional Clown and Magician besides all the music biz I do. it has taken me all the way to England and Scotland. But most of the time I'm found in the Annapolis Valley making kids laugh.
