Information that I would like to share-  Troy Durkee & I moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1997. We had our first child, Austin (6 yrs old) in 1999 and our second, Olivia (2 yrs old) in 2003. I worked as a loan and mortgage specialist at Wells Fargo for 5 years. After having Olivia, I decided to stay at home. We love our children so much! And they are truely wonderful children!

Information that I would like to share-  Life does not always turn out the way you expect it or would have pictured it for yourself.  Live everyday like its your last and have no regrets.  Since I did not officially get to graduate at YCMHS but spent 6th through 11th grade in Yarmouth, I feel like I missed so much in that last year. Life has certainly taken some unexpected twists and turns in my life. I am very fortunate to have remained friends with Veronica Burgess(Burrell) and have just recentely reconnected with Melanie Allen and Karen Hipson (Outhouse) I just moved from Massachusetts to New Hampshire and try to visit Yarmouth each summer.

I regret so much not continuing with sports; which I played all sports in Jr. High. Because of my choice to revolve my world around him and not to make the time for my friends I have not many. After that I moved to Halifax and was a pastry chef, then I got my Real Estate license.  I'm definately NOT a sales person so now I am in the states becoming a teacher (which I've known all along is what I've wanted to be). Information that I would like to share-  i graduated from dalhousie yarmouth site in 1999 with my BSc in nursing and have been working at the yarmouth hospital since. i currently work on 4 north with some of the most wonderful people i have ever met. i love my work. i had my first child in 1997, a daughter whom we named stacey amanda. i married her father, eddie muise, in 2001 and we had our second child in 2004, a son, zachary edward. we are currently house hunting. i love my life and count my blessings every day.

Favorite memory of high school-  I enjoyed participating in the High School choir and learning about subjects like Sociology, Consumer Education, and Geography.  My only regret was I didn't take Oceanography.  I love animals and that includes marine animals.  I also have a great respect for the sea and the marine life that inhabits it.  The High School choir was a favorite memory of mine because I enjoy music and still do.

Information that I would like to share-  Music...  I am going to expand on this subject which I mentioned earlier under the "Favorite Memory of YCMHS" heading.  I can play an electric guitar.  I own a Fender Stratocaster with a 30 watt Traynor amplifier system to go with it.  I play a lot of the classic hits from the 1960s and 70s.  My musical taste includes, The Beatles, Lucinda Williams, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Elton John, etc...  My favorite band of all is Fleetwood Mac.  I have almost every DVD and CD they have put out.  I have nearly every CD of The Beatles too. I have six tattoos and one of them is a picture of my Strat with the word "Freedom" written above it!  I'm quite proud of my latest addition which is a foot tattoo.  It is a crucifix on my right big toe with a vine extending from it and going across my toes and up the side of my foot to end at a tribal rose on my ankle.  My mom hates them all but oh well... My favorite quote is:  "Don't blame it on me, blame it on my wild heart!"  -Stevie Nicks (lead singer of Fleetwood Mac). My nickname is "Penguin" so you can refer to me as the Penguin if you like.

My moves have been for my career. I have worked in the area of child protection, addictions, employment , and in school social work. After high I studied a Bachelor of Arts Degree than went onto study Social Work. I meet my partner in 2000 and we recently got engaged in this year we reside in Yarmouth and I work as a Social Worker. In high school I never thought that I would end up in Yarmouth, but Yarmouth really is not that bad. High feels like many world away to me as I have grown and experience so my in life since high school and continue too.
